Flats set for depot site

PLANS to build houses and flats on the site of an old Coach Depot in Sheffield, look set to be given the green light next week.

Sheffield Council’s West and North Planning and Highways Area Board is recommending approval for 23 houses and flats to be built on the depot on Thompson Hill, High Green.

Most of the buildings will be two storeys high but there would be nine homes with accommodation in the roof.

Objectors say the proposal will result in a loss of privacy for neighbours and lead to more traffic and on-street parking.

Ecclesfield Parish Council also objects saying the site will be overdeveloped.

Councillors will take a decision on Tuesday.
