Give views on revamp

RESIDENTS are being asked to give their views on plans to improve Sheffield neighbourhoods during a consultation event today.

Council officials are proposing to regenerate a corridor along City Road, enhancing parks and open spaces, providing better pedestrian footpaths and cycleways and making traffic flow more smoothly.

Shopping areas to be upgraded are around the regenerated Park Hill, Duke Street, St Aidan’s, and Manor Top, while parks such as Manor Fields, Skye Edge Fields, Manor Lodge and Woodthorpe Ravine are to receive improved entrances, lighting and signposts.

Members of the public can view the plans and speak to council representatives at St Aidan’s Church, Manor Lane, from 3pm until 7pm.
