Health village set to open

A MULTI-million-pound "health village" is to open in Chesterfield next Spring, bringing together medical facilities on one site.

The 7.5 million development will gather together GPs, a pharmacy, a women's and sexual health clinic, dentistry, podiatry and physiotherapy.

Discussions are also underway for the Wheatbridge Road village to house social services, a health charity, and complementary therapists on the site of the former Robinsons factory.

The village, which will cover 30,000sq ft, is expected to serve a merged GPs’ practice for 15,000 patients
