Lottery cash to aid play

A £1.2 million grant has been secured by Sheffield Council to develop 10 schemes to improve play facilities for children.

The project will include work at parks including Endcliffe at Hunters Bar, Ruskin Park in Walkley, Splash at Millhouses, and Burngreave Recreation Ground, plus woodlands.

Money from the Big Lottery Fund will pay for outreach community play workers in Darnall, and other projects.
