Pedalling around Peru for pal

A RESTAURANT manager is to complete a mountain bike challenge in memory of his best friend - who would have celebrated his 21st birthday this year.

Benjamin Cook, aged 20, will ride 200 miles through the Andes to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign after his pal Martin Wood lost his battle against the disease aged just 16.

He chose this year to complete the challenge to mark what would have been Martin's 21st birthday - and is urging everyone to dig deep to help reach his target of 3,000.
