Meadowhall Summer Beach Club: Photos show new beach and water park attraction taking shape in Sheffield

The family friendly attraction, which will include a 1,000sqm beach, an AquaSplash water park, street food stalls and chill-out zones, is set to open in the Orange Car Park on July 21 and run for six weeks during the school holidays until September 3.
There will be be three inflatable pools and water slides, and the rides in the theme park area will include a rollercoaster, a carousel, a helter-skelter, waltzers and dodgems. The Beach Retreat will serve summer cocktails, beers and mocktails, while there will be an ever-changing range of street food available on Feast Street, along with cold slushies and ice cream.

Hide AdThere will be entertainment and live music each day, with the Summer Fun Squad on hand from 1pm-4pm to provide party games and entertainment for children, from foam parties and balloon modelling to mini discos.
Meadowhall Summer Beach Club will open from 5pm-9pm on the launch day, Friday, July 21, and after that from 12pm-9pm Sunday to Thursday and 12pm-9.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
How much is entry to Meadowhall Summer Beach Club and AquaSplash, and how do you book tickets?
Entry will cost from £2.50 per person for all-day access to the beach area and entertainment, with additional costs for rides, food and drinks, and entry to AquaSplash.
AquaSplash entry is priced £5 and includes all-day access to the event, the beach area, Summer Fun Squad games and live entertainment. You can buy tickets on the day but visitors are advised to book their places to avoid disappointment. When booking, you can choose to reserve a lounger and buy tokens priced £1 each, with between two and five tokens required for the rides.

Under-14s must be accompanied into AquaSplash by an adult, and some rides will have age and size restrictions.
