Three hurt in car and taxi collision

The driver of the Suzuki - an 18-year-old woman from Heeley - was detained at the Northern General Hospital with chest injuries and her passenger - a 19-year-old Darnall man - was kept in with chest and facial injuries.

The taxi driver - a 28-year-old Sheffield man - was treated for whiplash and minor injuries.

Police said the taxi, which was not carrying any passengers, was travelling out of Sheffield when the Suzuki, travelling in the opposite direction, veered out of control.

Officers were called just before 11pm on Sunday.
