Traffic alert to Owls fans
SHEFFIELD Wednesday fans travelling to home matches at Hillsborough Stadium are being warned to expect congestion because of roadworks on the A61 between Tankersley and Grenoside.
Police are warning that temporary traffic lights operating at the junction with the A629, because of damage caused during the floods in June, are likely to lead to lengthy queues on match days.
Officers are now urging motorists to find alternative routes and to allow extra time for journeys.
