Warnock signs in as family try to get him back to work!

FORMER Sheffield United manager Neil Warnock has revealed his family are already trying to get him back to work!

He told The Star: “Just this morning my daughter Amy, who’d heard the news on the radio, came running up to me shouting ‘Daddy, daddy Carlisle have just sacked their manager - there’s a job for you!’.”

But despite family pressure, Warnock says he’s determined to make the right choice about his next career move.

“I’m going to keep my options open until Christmas,” he said. “I certainly don’t want to go rushing into anything. It’s got to be the right club really - if a progressive club come to me with a good offer, then I’ll give it a go. If that doesn’t happen then I’m going to concentrate on the media work.”

Warnock’s book Made in Sheffield is set to hit the top 10 bestseller charts this week - and he says it’s not just Blades who are buying it.

“I did another signing this morning and I just couldn’t believe the response - there were Barnsley, Notts County and Mansfield fans in the queue as well as Unitedites. Perhaps it helps that I’m a bit controversial - I say it as it is and I suppose I do put my foot in it from time to time!”
