City are the favourites to add another Premier League crown to their trophy cabinet but will be without manager Pep Guardiola on the touchline as their boss recovers from back surgery in Barcelona.
United have some injury issues to contend with but also received some good news on the injury front earlier this week, with key men George Baldock and Oli McBurnie back in training. So we tasked our man to step into Paul Heckingbottom’s shoes and select the side he would send out to face City - do you agree with his selections?
5. Jack Robinson
Another player who tends to raise his game against better-quality opposition. Has big competition from Trusty but this doesn’t seem the ideal time to throw the former Arsenal man in for his Blades debut

6. Yasser Larouci
With Max Lowe out, it’d be a toss up between Larouci and Ben Osborn at left wing-back and Larouci gets the nod for me because of his athleticism and speed in both defence and attack - which may be needed against City new boy Jeremy Doku and his pace
7. Ollie Norwood
To have a chance against City the Blades will have to be good on the ball and few are better than the midfielder. He’ll have to do his share of defensive work too which is not usually a problem
8. Vini Souza
Operating in a two-man pivot with Norwood, both men should offer United’s defence some protection from midfield and allow their fellow midfielder to break forward when the chance arises
